Kristina and Shaun are an absolute pleasure to work with! I got married on October 8, 2018 (yes a Monday) and they made our wedding everything we wanted it to be and so much more! We had our wedding in Northern Maryland and they had no problem traveling to us! It was so hard finding a DJ/entertainment service that could provide us with all of the services we wanted for our wedding at a reasonable price; it’s not a coincidence I came across Nighthawk in my planning because we were blessed to find them. They made our vision come to life and I am sincerely grateful that they were a part of our day because they truly made it special! We had amazing lighting effects, a monogram and a great dancing on a cloud effect. They really listened to our needs and wants and actually executed them. We had very specific song requests and song mashups and we never got a “sorry, can’t do that.” I mean it when I say they made it all possible. I love how easy it was to communicate with them too; because when it comes to wedding planning the absolute last thing you need is an unresponsive vendor. Kristina was our MC and kept everything on track for us. She even helped bustle my dress! 5 stars is not enough, without a doubt they deserve 10! Thank you to Kristina and Shaun for making our wedding magical you guys have a client for life!
Kristina and Shaun at Nighthawk Entertainment were so much fun to work with! Since we didn’t live in the area, Kristina and Shaun did a Skype call with us to go over all of their services and really made us feel special. They have a wonderful form put together to help in planning out the timeline of the night.. I was so impressed that they compiled their own timeline to go off of to keep the night rolling smoothly! The night was flawless and our guests were dancing all night long. They even followed up the next day to ensure that we had enjoyed ourselves and to see if there was anything more they could do for us, which just speaks volumes in the wedding industry! They are a pleasure to work with and such a sweet couple to get to know!
We loved having Nighthawk Entertainment’s photo booth and videography service at our wedding in August. Everyone was very professional, prepared, and responsive. The photo booth was fun for our guests, the photo prints were high quality, and they had plenty of fun props. The highlight video they made was absolutely perfect!! They captured our day so well and didn’t get in the way to get the perfect shot. Kristina, Shaun, and their team were great to work with!
My husband and I had no idea who to book as a DJ for our October 2018 wedding and friends and family made a strong point that we should get someone that we are familiar with as the DJ is critical for a good reception. Unfortunately we did not know of any DJs or have any preferences and after some searching of local DJs in our area, I came across Nighthawk Entertainment. They responded immediately to our request, met with us right away, and won us over immediately. They had great prices, easy to understand services/packages, and were willing to work with us for all of our wedding needs! They were very organized and did all the hard work for us! Needless to say our ceremony and reception went on without a hitch. They played music at the perfect timing, had guests on the dancefloor from start to finish, and acted professionally the whole way through. Thank you so much Shaun & Kristina! I definitely recommend for any event!!! 
Our wedding day was truly amazing and we give a huge amount of credit to Nighthawk Entertainment for that, especially our DJ/emcee, Kristina, Shaun, & Dana. Kristina was absolutely amazing to work with from start to finish. She was always so responsive and really helped us figure out what would work best any time we were indecisive on timeline or music decisions. We also rented their cornhole yard game which was a huge hit for our guests!
They took a ton of time to get to know us and made sure our wedding truly reflected our personal style. Everyone had such a great time, which was really the most important thing to us. We aren’t a couple big on dancing, and were not expecting a huge crowd, but people were dancing all night thanks to the 3 of them starting the party! Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts for helping our vision come to life! Would highly, highly recommend to anyone.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Kristina and Shaun went above and beyond both on our wedding day and the weeks leading up to the big day too. They met with us to finalize details and gave us a fool proof timeline of the evening which put my nerves at ease. Kristina was amazing! She not only acted as my coordinator (when my officiant was subpar) but also checked in with me all night to see if I needed to eat anything or wanted a drink or just needed to sit. My new husband and I couldn’t of asked for a better night with family and friends, dancing and having a good time! We could definitely recommend Nighthawk Entertainment again and again!
Our Story
Hello, my name is Shaun Herbst. I am the owner of Nighthawk Entertainment. I have had an extraordinary passion for music my entire life. Ever since I was a child I would listen to music every chance I would get, whether it would be listening to the radio while cleaning my room or playing with friends, or listening to my Sony Discman at night until I fell asleep.
I soon took up playing guitar, which I continued to play for the next 15 years. I played in the Penn State University Jazz Ensemble, and in Rock, Country, and Blues bands in State College, PA, Altoona, PA, Athens, GA, Buckhannon, WV, and York, PA. I would also run sound and lights for different bands and worship groups. Then, one day a friend approached me because a friend of theirs had hired a DJ for her sister’s sweet 16 birthday party, and they had backed out on her at the last moment. I agreed to help her out. I grabbed my computer and gathered all the sound and lighting equipment I had and put on the best performance I could within the short period of time. My only focus was helping out a friend and making this party as memorable as I could for the girl. Afterwards, I had a line of people that came to express how impressed they were by my performance, and wanted me to come DJ for their weddings, parties, etc. My feeling of satisfaction was so great, I immediately knew that this was what I was meant to do. Because of my success and customer feedback, I was then able to grow and expand the business into the state-of-the-art sound and lighting services we offer today.
Music is our passion! We are not just in it for the money. We do what we do because we love it. Period. Customer satisfaction is our number one priority, and the feeling we get from putting on our best performance and our customer feedback is our biggest profit. We treat every customer as if they payed us million dollars, regardless of what their budget is. A high level of commitment and weeks of preparation go into each and every event to ensure that every performance is tailored specifically to YOU!
